that our "team" is here to serve your children.
I will be setting up Team Meetings for those students who I "Case Manage"
(TP,TB,CF,DW,DW,RJ,AT,HT). If you see your childs initials and would like
to contact me to set up a meeting, please feel free to do so.
Homework:
Parents your child is responsible for assignments in their regular education
class unless it is specified in their IEP. If you see a need for a
modification in their homework assignments please let us know. We are
working with the general education teachers to make any adjustments that are
needed.
SAS:
Self Awareness Support/Social Communication Group:
Our team is working closely with the school Occupational Therapist, Cindy
Hancock in helping our students understand how their body responds to
internal and external stimuli.
For the past few weeks we have been exploring different kinds of tools and
how to use them appropriately:
Touch Tools: smooth stone,silly putty, tangle tamer,etc...
Mouth Tools: gum,thera tubing,pretzels,warheads,etc...
Ear Tools: ear phones,soft music,etc...
We have developed a check out system in our classroom so our students can
check out a tool to use for the day in their general education classroom.
