Financial Aid

FREE APPLICATIN FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA): Complete the application
online using parents' 2007 taxes. Not available until after Jan. 1st. Go
online to get parent PIN and student PIN prior to completing FAFSA. Many
colleges require the FAFSA to be completed to be eligible for any kind of
scholarship funds even when the family income is too high to qualify for
government assistance.

CREATE YOUR PIN FOR FAFSA: Go to this site to register for the student's and
parent's PIN prior to completing the FAFSA.

SCHOOL SOUP: Scholarship data bank. Search based on student answers to
questions about themselves and their parents. Very good data bank. Take
time to answer questions thoroughly with a parent present, if possible. Then
be ready to fill out applications. Searches scholarships based on major,
college, merit, disabilities, state of residence, parent employer, etc.

FASTWEB: Scholarship data bank. Not as detailed as SchoolSoup, but is worth
setting up an account on it also. Searches scholarships based on major,
college, merit, etc.

NC, loan information, etc. Go to "Paying for College" then click
