HI!
Welcome to our classroom website. My name is Samantha Gibby, and I
have been teaching first grade at BC Primary for 5 years. First grade is
one of the most challenging grades to teach, but it is also one of the most
rewarding. First graders tend to be very excited about learning and very
eager to please their teacher. Every day is like a new adventure as we are
learning new concepts and skills. I am very lucky that I get to share in
their excitement as we tackle each new discovery together. I love to watch
their face light up as they master a skill or figure out a way to solve a
problem. It is such a great feeling to be part of these wonderful
accomplishment's in a child's life.
I believe that a strong parent/teacher team working toward the same goal, is
essential in a child's academic development. As a parent you are your
child's first and most important teacher. It takes both parents and
teachers working together to ensure their first grader will have a positive
and successful year. Communication is one of the keys to this success, so I
welcome ideas and suggestions.
