My name is Patrick A. Preudhomme Sr. and I will be your student’s teacher in
either European History, Physics, or U.S. History this year. This will be my
sixth year as a member of the faculty, at Bishop McGuinness High School, so
it is likely that I have previously taught an older sibling. I am confident
that your son or daughter will not only be challenged in my course (or
courses for handful who have me twice a day)but will also grow academically
as they continue to prepare themselves for university studies.
I am a parent myself and my wife and I now have seven children. We have
three older children attending UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Charlotte, and Elon
University. My formal education includes studies in Economics (BA and MA
from the University of Denver), Engineering (BSME, CU-Denver), and Education
(Greensboro College). I have also taken enrichment coursework from Elon
University and UNC Greensboro. I continue to take courses, for personal
satisfaction, as my schedule allows and I worked as an adjunt instructor at
Alamance Community College in Graham, North Carolina for over five years.
This summer I have honed my skills for online instruction and I hope to
utilize more internet technology for my students.
I am extremely active and my family has become well known for our
competitiveness in disc golf. Each year we play several tournaments that
include the NC State Games, SC Junior Championships, and other PDGA
sanctioned events. It is a fantastic release for us since all of the family
can be involved. I moderate two clubs at Bishop McGuinness High School.
These clubs are the Disc Golf Club, and Teens Supporting Our Troops (TSOT).
It is obvious that I have an extremely busy lifestyle, but my commitment to
the education of your children is a priority that I honor. Feel free to
