You will meet some of them at an Orientation in August before the first day of school, but many you will meet on the first day of school. How will I know the rules/regulations at Broughton? Read carefully the Broughton Handbook received in CAPS Class/homeroom. If you have any questions, ask a teacher or see the counselor. What is the best way to stay organized? Begin on the first day of school recording all assignments and appointments in the planner provided to all BHS students by the Academic Booster Club. It also helps to post the A Day/B Day calendar on your refrigerator at home. How many hours of community service do I have to complete? You must complete 25 hours of service for a non-profit agency by the end of 9th grade. For graduation, you must have completed 100 hours over 4 years. How do I make an appointment with the counselor? You may leave a Request for Appointment slip and the counselor will send foryou from an elective class. You may also drop-in without an appointment beforeschool or during lunch. How can I get involved in a club at BHS? The clubs are listed in the student agenda with the name of the sponser listed. Students and/or parents can email the teacher for dates and times of meetings. |
