| Don't get Shipwrecked...Do your homework!
Homework will be assigned Monday-Thursday of each week, unless otherwise
noted. Students will receive a planner on the first day of school. Your child
is responsible for copying their homework into their planner. Students are
expected to complete homework nightly and turn it in the next day, unless
otherwise noted. I understand that occasionally there are circumstances that
may prevent your child from completing a homework assignment. If this is the
case, please send a note to school as well as have your child comlete the
assignment on the following night. Please remember that it is your child’s
homework! Helping your child may be necessary and is encouraged, but please
refrain from completing it for them.
Self-assessment will be completed by the students each day at school and
signed by the teacher. For homework to be complete, the self-assessment form
must be signed by the parent each night.
Your child should be reading for 15 minutes each night. Students should write
down what theyu have read and the page numbers after you read. This needs to
be written in your child's planner in the Reading block under the
corresponding date.
All other homework will be assigned as needed. There will be a few projects
assigned throughout the school year. If your child does not turn in a project
it will NOT be excused. There will be ample time for your child to complete
each project.
