Personal Information

I began my career as an Art teacher in Hoke county in 1994.  In 1995, I 
transferred to Scotland County and was the Art teacher at the old Carver 
school for 5 years and for 1 year at the new school.  Then I transferred to 
Richmond County where I taught Art for 2 1/2 years before becoming a Media 
Specialist and returning to Carver Middle. I have taught grades K-9.

I have been married for 11 years.  I am a native of Richmond county.  I enjoy 
spending time with my husband and family and friends.  I enjoy going to the 
movies, creating art and craft projects, and (trying) to grow flowers.  I 
also love to travel.  My favorite vacation spot is Disney World, as you see 
in the picture above (that's why I look so happy!).

My favorite color is blue, favorite food is sweets and my favorite 
cartoon character is Snoopy.  My favorite pasttime is trying new things.

I have a dog, Lily, who whines if I don't pet her, and a cat, Kara, who often 
runs away from home for weeks at a time and then returns very hungry!

Mission

My mission for the Carver Media Center is to provide information access to 
all  students and faculty to meet their needs.
