Who am I?

My name is Dr. Hook and I am the school psychologist for Codington
Elementary. I also serve two other schools, Alderman and JC Roe. My office is
in room 106, right next to Mr. Deese. I'm excited to be at Codington this
year - in the past I have served Bradley Creek, Forest Hills, Pine Valley,
and Snipes Elementary Schools.

I graduated from Penn State University in 1990 with a BA in Psychology, and
from Lehigh University (in Bethlehem, PA) in 1992 and 1997 with a Masters and
Doctorate in School Psychology. I am licensed by the NC Psychology Board at
the independent psychologist level, by NC DPI as a school psychologist, and I
have my national certification (NCSP) from the National Association of School
Psychologists (NASP). My special interests include working with students with
ADHD and autism spectrum disorders, and with working within a Response to
Intervention model. I am also a part of the School Based Mental Health
Project, which provides training to general education teachers about mental
health issues. I also supervise our school psychology intern.

My husband and I have two daughters who attend Codington, and we love
camping, watching Penn State football, and playing with our 2
energetic labs. I am also a Junior Girl Scout co-leader.

How do you contact me?

I travel between three schools every week, and my general schedule is as
follows-

Monday - Codington
Tuesday - Alderman in AM, Codington in PM
Wednesday - office or flex day/ go where needed
Thursday - JC Roe
Friday - Alderman

The best way to contact me is by e-mail. I check it frequently and try to
respond within 24 hours.
