About The Teacher and Assisstants

Mrs. Simpson (teacher): I am so excited to be coming back to Codington for 
the upcoming school year. I have been working with students with special 
needs for over 11 years and absolutely love my job. I have my undergrad 
degree in Art Education and my Master's Degree in Special Education. I have 
been living in Wilmington for 8 years. I have a little girl, Emma Jane, that 
is 5 and a baby boy on the way! My husband is a nurse at Coastal Rehab. We 
also run a charter fishing buisness called Mad Fish Charters. I am looking 
foward to a great school year in 2008/09! 

Mrs. Long (teacher):I have lived in Wilmington for 13 years.  I recently 
graduated from UNCW with a degree in Special Education.  A week after 
graduation I got married to my wonderful husband Jonathan Long.  A few weeks 
after my honeymoon I got my first official job offer at Codington Elementary 
School!  A lot of wonderful things are happening in my life right now.  I am 
thrilled to be working in your childs classroom along with Mrs. Simpson and 
Mrs. Beverly.  We have an outstanding team and are really looking forward to 
this school year! :)

Mrs. Beverly (assistant): I am native to Wilmington. I graduated from New 
Hanover High in 1969, and from the University of Maryland in 1975 with a 
degree in elementary education. I lived in Washington, D.C. for 22 years 
where I worked as a registration manager for a Catholic University for 11 
years.  I have worked in special education here at Codington for 11 years. I 
am married and have one son named Chase.
