About The Counselors

Mr. Deese obtained his M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of 
North Carolina Greensboro and is beginning his twelfth year as a counselor 
at Codington Elementary.  His guidance interests include self-esteem, family 
diversity, multiculturalism, character education, and expressive arts.  Mr. 
Deese enjoys integrating literature, music, and creative movement into the

Books and Songs".  Mr. Deese's wife, Tracey, works as part-time exceptional 
children's teacher at Codington.  They are the parents of two daughters, 
Maiah and Angelia.
