This is my 13th year teaching in New Hanover County Schools. I have
taught kindergarten, first and second grades and love them all! I graduated
from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and earned Masters degrees from UNCW in
Elementary Education (1998), Curriculum and Instructional Supervision
(2005), and School Administration (2007). I am also a Nationally Board
Certified teacher. I recently renewed my National Board certification which
was a feat worth celebrating! Some of my favorite things to teach are
reading strategies, math concepts using manipulatives and games, and personal
narrative writing.
My husband, Bruce, and I have two daughters, ages 8 and 4. Morgan is a
third grader here at Codington and Katherine enjoys going to preschool. We
love to go to NC State football and basketball games. In my free time I
enjoy reading, going swimming and playing with my family.
