This page provides lesson plans designed by the New Orleans Jazz National
Historical Park.
You may access their site directly from this link (copy and paste) or go to
the links page:
http://www.nps.gov/jazz/index.htm
The plans deal with a number of topics in addition to the history and
development of jazz.
Due to the technical limitations of this site, navigation of the plans is
accomplished by using the pages listed below this page on the side bar.
The Rangers of the Jazz Park also intend to post the plans on their site.
When that is done, navigation should be easier by using their site directly.
Navigation is fairly simple.
Unit and lesson plans are arranged one after the other.
First, you will find a quick overview.
The pages below that will lead you through the lesson. You will find
readings, activities, answer keys, etc.
If you simply go from one page to another in order, things should be easy to
understand.
Hopefully, the Jazz Park itself will soon have the staff to arrange their web
site with main pages and sub pages which can be clicked to navigate through
the plans.
Any suggestions are welcome. You may e-mail me by using the link at the top
of the page.
I hope the plans prove useful to you.
