Durant Road Elementary School has adopted the PBS(Positive Behavior System)
philosophy. This system focuses on the positives instead of the negatives to
ensure a better school climate. Children are rewarded for showing SOAR
behavior through positive office referrals, golden tray awards in the
cafeteria, class compliment cards, and earning eagle bucks to spend on
trinkets. We will hold schoolwide assemblies to honor those students showing
SOAR behavior.

In addition I give tickets out to each person in the class for every
compliment we get in the hallway or at specials. Once a month on Fridays we
have a raffle where if their ticket number is called they can choose a prize
from the treasure box. I am always in need of trinkets,$1 store items,
stuffed animals and slightly used toys and items that you are wanting to get
rid of. Please just send those items in with your child.
