I grew up in the Raleigh area and attended Wake County Schools from
grade 3-12.After graduating from NCSU with a bachelor’s degree in business
management and working as a Sales Manager in the power electronics field, I
relocated to Rhode Island and earned my master’s degree in education from
Rhode Island College. I have always been involved with children in some way,
having been a nanny, a daycare provider, a GA leader, and a 4th grade teacher
since 2002.
My husband David and I have one daughter who is in high school She is an
avid softball player and plays for a local travel team. This keeps us very
busy on the weekends!
We all love animals! Samson is our seven year old white cocker spaniel. We
also have a black and white cat named Zorro, who was named based on his
markings resembling a mask! We call them Tom and Jerry because they like to
chase each other around the house. My hobbies include reading, home
decorating, watching movies, and spending time at the beach with my family.
My favorite: subject is math, color is green, vacation is the beach, TV show
is CSI, food is mexican, ice cream is chocolate, drink is Dunkin Donuts
coffee, team is NC state, and sport is softball and football tied!
My mission is to provide a nuturing, hands on, mutually respectful
environment in which your child can comfortably learn the North Carolina
Standard Course of Study.
