FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
Lockers will be assigned during the first few days. Students will receive a lock and if it is lost, a $5.00 fine is charged to replace it. Books are assigned to each locker and are the responsibility of the student. Fines will be collected for lost textbooks. Agendas are required for each student at DRMS. This is where assignments are written daily and they serve as a communication tool for parents and teachers. The first one will be free...if it is lost students will have to pay for a replacement. We recommend the Casio fx-115ms. Please label with your name and Track. It is not required to purchase a calculator. We have class sets available. Where is routine information given out? Attendance and information is passed out in homeroom. Parents are asked to always send in absentee notes after an absence to their child's homeroom teacher. Your homeroom teacher is a good contact person for questions. What is the grade scale in middle school? The seven point scale is used in middle school. A=93 to 100, B=85 to 92, C=78 to 84, D=70 to 77, F=below 70. When can I participate in sports? Interschool competition is only for grades 7 and 8. There is an intermural program that 6th graders may take part in. Dances are open to all DRMS students in good standing. They are held several times during the year. There is a charge for tickets and food and drinks are sold at the dance. Tickets are sold in the cafeteria before dances occur. What is the easiest method for contacting teachers?
