Homework Policy

HOMEWORK

Assignments given in each class will vary. Track 1 Teachers will make
every effort to schedule projects and tests to minimize conflicting
assignments and workloads. Homework is an extension of daily activities and
the following guidelines will be helpful.

1. Students need a scheduled time and place to study.

2. Students should do homework with a balance of guidance and freedom.

3. All homework assignments should incorporate the use of complete sentences,
good penmanship, and correct spelling and grammar. These expectations of
quality work apply to all subject areas.

4. All work should be written according to the Wake County Manuscript Guide,
which will be handed out in language arts class.

5. Parents will be notified through a note in the agenda, a phone call, or
via email if the team recognizes a problem with the completion of assignments.

6. When no written assignment is given, students should spend some time on
required reading, studying, reviewing, or working on long term assignments.

7. Homework is an important part of the students grade in all
subject areas and should be treated as such.
