Hi,
I was born and raised here in Wilmington, NC until I married my husband. We
moved to Louisville, Kentucky for 13 years where he was a Pastor. We returned
in 1999 for him to be the Pastor of Southside Baptist Church. We don't have
children of our own, but call several kids our own. One young man I taught in
5th grade in 1989 became like a son to us. He is happily married now and a
military pilot. We have also enjoyed having exchange students from Japan and
Germany. We have 2 West Highland White Terrier puppies named Katie and
McAlister that we call our "Beebies." They are the joy in our lives besides
each other and our faith in God.
I love photography. I carry a camera with me every day, just in case I see
the right picture. Caring for animals is very important to me. I am part of
an organization called "Saving Animals During Disaster". The way I can relax
is a walk on the beach with my best friend, my husband and our "Beebies".
I have taught for 27 years including 8 years at Freeman. I taught 5th and 4th
grade until last year which was my first year in Kindergarten. It's a delight
to watch my class develop and learn throughout the school year.
Every child has a special purpose in life and need to be able to strive to
fulfill it.
