What if I am not, or my child is not being successful in school?

Talk to me or your teachers.  I can help a student get tutoring if they need
it, meet with a student individually about their specific academic needs or
even make a referral to the Student Support Team.

What do I do when my child is absent from school?

If your child is absent from school they need to bring in a note
explaining the absence and give it to their homeroom teacher.  If the student
does not bring in a note excusing the absence the absence will be unexcused.
Too many unexcused absences may result in a referral to the Judicial
Attendance Council.

What if I have received a letter in the mail about my child's absence

If the absences can be excused please send in a note with your child to give
to his or her teacher.  You can also feel free to contact me to
discuss your child's absences.  I may request meetings with parents at times
when a child's absences have become excessive.

What should I do if my family is experiencing a crisis?

I have several community resources that I can refer you to.  There are some
listed on this website and others that I will be more than happy to share with
you if you will contact me.  We have a lot of resources in this community that
you can take advantange of.

What if I am or my student is having problems with another student?

The School Counselor and I often meet with students in groups to help them 
resolve their problems with one another.  It is VERY important that students 
are able to get along with one another, so we strive to help students resolve 
conflicts and learn appropriate relationship skills.

What if I am having problems getting school uniforms for my child?

I can help answer your questions about school uniforms and assist families 
with getting school uniforms if needed.  We also have some uniforms available 
here at school for parents to purchase.
