Congratulations to all 2007-08 Family and Consumer Sciences Students for achieving the highest
VoCats scores for all of the Wake County High Schools! Oops, FVHS FACS students have done it
again! This is the FIFTH time in eight years FVHS Family and Consumer Sciences Students have
had the highest scores of any school in Wake County! You all Rock!!!


Congratulations to Early Childhood Education 1 2008 Class for earning 100% 3's and 4's on your
end of course exam! You are now members of the 100% Club!

Congratulations to Dale Jones who received the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship for 2008! Go
Dale!

Congratulations to all 2006-07 Family and Consumer Sciences Students for achieving the highest
Vocats scores for all of Wake County! You have earned another banner for the 600 Hall. This is
the fourth time in seven years FVHS Family and Consumer Sciences Students have had the highest
scores of any school in Wake County! You all are Awsome!!!

Congratulations Child Development Students in Mrs. Brown's Fall 2006 2nd and 3rd period classes
and Spring 2007 1st period class for achieving 100% 3's and 4's on the end of course VOCATS
exam! You did it!

Congratulations to 2007 Early Childhood Education 2 class for achieving 100 3's and 4's on the
end of course VOCATS exam! Fantastic!

Congratulations to the following 2006 Foods 2 Advanced students for becoming
ServSafe certified: Jocelyn DeGroote, Siyara Dobbs, Latanya Grimsley, Candis
Hartsfield, and Emily Snipes. ServSafe is an in depth food safety course
sponsored by the National
Restaurant Association.

Beginning in the spring of 2006, Early Childhood Education 2 students will
receive honors credit and 5 quality points. They will also receive college
credit (articulation) if they choose to enroll in the Early Childhood
Education program at the community college level.

Congratulations to the following 2003 Food Development students for becoming
ServSafe certified: Kristen Dubois,Kemi Kehinde,Mallory Mauldin,Amanda Rable,
and Linda Stafford. These are the first FVHS Students to take the National
Restaurant Association ServSafe Class and achieve certification.

Congratulations to the following 2004 Early Childhood Education 1 and 2
students for achieving articulation (college credit):
Ashley Carrieri, Jaimee Cassidy, Renee Franklin, Kemi Kehinde, Stephanie
Kitto,Remikka Leach, Keyonda Mangum, Kia Rascoe, Jennifer Sweatte, and Amanda
Underwood.
They all had a "B" average or higher and scored mastery level on their State
End-of-Course Exam in Early Childhood Ed.
