Week of December 14th: Monday: Students will begin looking at the problem-solution essay thought process by reading a myth and brainstorming solutions to a problem connected with the myth. HW: COMPLETE FRONT SIDE OF PROBLEM-SOLUTION HANDOUT. Tuesday: Students will complete a blue diamond assessment. HW: NONE Wednesday: Students will reinforce grammar concepts from the blue diamond. Thursday: Students will continue to look at the following grammar concepts: subjects and predicates, dependent and independent clauses, subject-verb agreement, correcting sentence fragments, identifying parts of speech. HW: NONE Friday: Students will focus on the problem of "cyber bullying" by reading an article and thinking about the severity of the problem and ways that the problem can be addressed. HW: HAVE A SAFE WINTER BREAK!
