Compacted Math

Aug. 4- Aug. 8
The assignments below are posted as a projection of what will be covered
during the week of Aug. 4-8, 2008. PLEASE REFER TO THE STUDENT AGENDA
FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE ASSIGNMENTS. Agendas should NEVER be blank. Our
team posts assignments daily for all core subjects on a transparency during
homeroom. Students have 30 minutes (from 7:45 until 8:15) to record these
assignments into their agendas.

This week we continue a three week unit solving one-step equations and
inequalities. Within this unit, students will use the distributive
property, commutative property and associative property to simplify
expressions. They will practice flexibility in problem solving by using the
try, test, and revise strategy. Students will also solve one-step equations
using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. They will also
solve and graph one-step inequalities.
