Our quarter is coming to an end. We have until the 25th to cover all of our
first quarter objectives. The 2nd graders have improved in so many ways! We
have been focused on our writing and making sure that we have capital letters
at the beginning of our sentences as well as whenever we use a proper noun.
We have talked about what the difference between a noun and a proper noun is.
They have also worked with abbreviations and titles.
Thank you for working with your children each night on the homework.
Occasionally additional work will be sent home that wasn't finished in class.
The work that is sent home should be returned the next day to be graded.
Thank you to the parents who helped put the Learning Experience together! The
kids had a great time. They had the chance to write letters to a classmate as
well as listen to our guest speaker, Mr. Hansen, and decorate baked goods.
Pictures have gone home. If you are interested in purchasing photos please
send the envelope back to school with your child. All photos you do not plan
to purchase must be returned as well.
