About the Teacher

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  As a second grade 
teacher at Highcroft Drive Elementary, I am delighted to be working with your 
son or daughter!  I consider it an honor to partner with you as we strive to 
create a nurturing, stimulating, and positive environment for your child.  
Since we will all be working hard to do our very best, it is sure to be a 
rewarding and successful year.
	I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am originally 
from Gaithersburg, Maryland (a suburb of DC.)  I moved to North Carolina to 
attend Campbell University where I received my degree in elementary 
education.  While at Campbell, I was afforded with the opportunity to 
complete field experiences in every grade level, but second grade is my first 
love!  I am in my sixth year of teaching, all of which have been in second 
grade!
	Outside of teaching second graders I enjoy running, cooking, spending 
time with my family and friends, and relaxing on the beach while my husband, 
Andres, windsurfs.    
	I want you to know that there is no other profession I would rather 
have than being your child’s teacher.  Together, we can ensure that this year 
is a positive experience for your son or daughter.  As the year progresses, I
