Dear Parents,
Can you believe that Wednesday is the end of Quarter 2! I sure can't. This
quarter has flown by. It is has been a very challenging one for the students
but very rewarding!
Our CogAt testing went great. The kids did a great job taking their time and
putting their 100% effort into it. Thanks to all of you for getting them
here on time and ready to go!
As we head into the final days, a few reminders. I will be passing out
report cards on Wednesday at 2:45. If your child is not planning to attend
school that day or need to leave early, I will leave your report card in the
front office for you. You may pick it up when school for tracks 2, 3, and 4
resume on Monday, the 30th.
We are not tracking out of our room this quarter so the children will be
leaving their folders and books at school over the break.
Please have your child study their multiplication facts over the break.
Mastery is so important and my expectation is that they have them mastered
and fluent by the end of Quarter 3. We have already learned out 2's, 5's,
10's, and 9's so they need to practice them over the break so they won't
forget them. As I told them, 5 - 10 minutes a day using flash cards or the
computer at www.MathisFun.com.
Have a wonderfully safe holiday season.
Mrs. Drager
Sincerely,
Mrs. Drager
