Reading every day to your child is so important! Take time to visit the
library every few weeks and let your child pick out several books and check
them out with their own 'library card'. Then mark the calendar with the due
date and use this as an opportunity to teach days of the week and months of
the year.
Here are the sight words that we will be learing in kindergarten.
I, am, like, school, green, blue, yellow, Mrs. Duwve,

There are several educational DVDs and CDs that help teach phonics. The Leap
Frog brand has two movies that are especially useful, 'Letter Factory'
and 'Word Factory'. We are currently learning the sounds that the letters
make, so these movies might be fun to watch.
