Welcome to Kindergarten at Highcroft Drive Elementary!
I am so happy to be your child's first elementary school teacher!
Kindergarten is such a wonderful experience, not only for the children, but
for their teacher as well. My teaching philosophy is to tailor my curriculum
to meet each child's individual needs. You will see many exciting changes in
your children as they learn and grow this year! Our classroom is decorated
with many colorful bumblebee graphics symbolizing our 'busy bee' attitude we
have toward learning and having fun. Our mottos are 'Bee Responsible', 'Bee
Honest', 'Bee Respectful' and 'Bee Happy'. I'm happy your child is one
of "Mrs. Duwve's Busy Bees"!
I'm an Ohio State alumnae (go Buckeyes!), married, with four children. In
my "spare" time I enjoy playing the string bass and running. I use to enjoy
running marathons, now I enjoy running from gymnastics to Boy Scouts to the
library, to golf, to the grocery store...
My assistant, Mrs. Malta, and I both look forward to getting to know both
you and your children this year!
