This is my fifteenth year teaching at the elementary level. I began
my teaching career as a student teacher in a kindergarten classroom.
My first professional experience was teaching sixth grade at St. Paul's
Catholic School, in Princeton, New Jersey. After 3 years, a first grade
teaching position became available at SPS, and I decided that I was up
for the challenge. In 1998, I obtained a position as a second grade
(public school) teacher in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. I continued to
teach second grade for 5 years.
Five years ago, I joined the Highcroft Staff as a third grade teacher.
Then four years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to move up to 5th
grade and I truly love it. I'm very excited about teaching and can't
imagine doing anything else.
I have been married to my husband, David, for 20 years. We have a
17-year old daughter named Sarah, who is in 12th Grade. We also have
a 6-year old cat named Molly and a kitten named Chloe.
My mission is to create a non-threatening classroom environment,
where ALL children are encouraged to participate and contribute in
the learning process. Hard work and respect are emphasized daily. It
is my goal to foster a life-long love of learning for all my students.
