We are looking forward to another great school year! We will have several returning students along with several new ones. Meet The Teacher will be Friday, July 24th from 4:30-6:00. At this time you are able to come and visit the classroom and meet the staff. You are also able to sign up to be a volunteer (this needs to be done each year), and sign up for the PTA. I look forward to meeting you and your child! Parents, We are very excited to announce the opening of our Sensory Room for the 2009-2010 school year. The activities in this room will help students to get out their sensory needs in order to be able to sit and attend to do work and academic activities. I am currently seeking grants and donations needed to adequately provide a safe and therapeutic environment for the children. I have included a list of some of the items we are hoping to have in our sensory room. * Weighted blankets * Sleeping bags * Large pillows * Bean bag chairs * Big cardboard boxes * Exercise balls * Loofah sponges * Sand paper * Cotton balls * Feather dusters * Small battery operated fans * Carpet samples * Scraps of foam for a crash mat * Bins of noodles/beans/rice/etc. * Bubble wrap * Lava lamp * Books on tape * Scented markers, crayons, stickers * Vibrating toothbrushes * Whistles * Bubbles * Blankets * Bags of beans I will take items off of this list once we have donations come in.
