Parent's letter

Dear Parents,

I would like to inform you about this year's Physical Education
Program and my expectations of your child.

My goal is to provide quality instruction in a well managed
environment that will allow your child to learn and grow in the area
of physical education. This will be accomplished by: Presenting
lessons in a fun, positive manner; providing maximum practice time;
ensuring each student is successful; and establishing award and
discipline procedures.

Please read the information below; it will help make this a great
year for your child in PE.

Participation is expected of all students. If your child needs to be
excused from P.E. because they are sick or hurt, a note from a doctor
or parent is required.

Tennis shoes are required for safe participation in P.E. Students
are not allowed to participate if they are not wearing appropriate
footwear. Examples of inappropriate footwear are sandals, Crocs,
flip flops, dress shoes and boots.

Parents of any child whose ability to participate in physical
activity is limited in any manner shoulod notify me and describe the
limitations in writing.

Through out the school year if you have any questions or concerns
about your child's participation in P. E. please contact me.

Finally, I hope you will talk to your child about what they have
learned in P. E. and encourage them to practice the skills they have
learned. I look forward to to meeting you, teaching your child and
having an outstanding year in Physical Education.

Sincerely,
Dan Nichols
