I. Discover new trails at the Scholastic Bookfair!!!
Mark your calendars! Save the date! Highcroft's only fundraiser for the
library is coming up fast. Our happy campers will be sure to enjoy all the
newest books from authors they enjoy most. November 2 - 6 will be preview
and purchase week for Tracks 2 and 4. November 9 - 12 will be preview and
purchase week for Tracks 1 and 3. However ALL tracks are invited to attend
our Grand Family Night at the Bookfair on Thursday, November 5th. Watch for
more information coming in the burgundy folder.
2. World Book Online & Tumblebooks
Teachers, parents and students....
We now have World Book Online and TumbleBook Subscriptions! These
wonderful resources can be accessed from your home. Please watch for
information to come home in the burgundy folder during the first few weeks
of school. Your child(ren) will also have a bookmark to help you remember
the User Name and Password to access these wonderful sites.
We have used some of the funds that were raised from the
bookfair last October to purchase this online encyclopedia. Thank you for
all who bought books from the bookfair so we can benefit from this wonderful
resource. To keep Highcroft Media Center updated with technology and other
great sources.
I would also like to encourage you to volunteer to help with our
bookfair this year so we can continue to keep and update these wonderful
resources to help promote literacy.
