Grades 5, 4, and 3 work on the their keyboarding skills at the beginning of each class. Grades 5 and 4 must key at least 25 words a minute with 90% or better accuracy to move to a new lesson. Grade 3 students must key at least 20 words a minute with 90% or better to move to a new lesson. After practicing keyboarding skills, Grade 5, 4, and 3 students have finished this year working with Microsoft Word. Grade 5 students also completed PhotoStory. All grades now are starting their PowerPoint presentations. Grade 5 will be working on a presentation about the United States Government, Grade 4 on their lighthouse, and Grade 3 on objects in the sky.
Grade 2 students are working KidPix and with the toolbar. They have learned to use all the tools on the toolbar. They are now working with the texttool by typing sentences, discussing upper case letters. They are also using bold, italics, and alignment. Depending on the track, some students have created slides for their slide show presentation.
Grade 1 students are reading stories online and then discussing the stories. You can view them from this web site by clicking on Grade 1 and selecting Stories Online.
Grade K students are working in Riverdeep and Millie's Math House. They have finished working with A to Zap. They will start working in Bailey's Book House.
