I was born and raised in Raleigh North Carolina. My parents are Joe and
Beverly Blomquist and I have a sister whose name is Christy. I also have two
nieces. Lara is three years old and Caitlin is one years old and of course I
cannot forget my dog. Her name is Madison. After finishing up high school in
Apex I moved to Wilmington and lived there for six years. While there I got
my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and I minored in psychology. I
absolutely love Wilmington and plan on moving back there someday. In college
I worked at several schools tutoring kids in grades K-5 and then eventually I
taught first grade for six months. I moved back to the area four years ago
and I am enjoying working at Holly Springs Elementary School. I believe that
Holly Springs is a beautiful area I am glad that I can be part of this
community.
