I am a native of Cary NC. I have lived in the area all of my life except
the four years I spent at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC, where I
earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I taught second
grade at Holly Springs Elementary for thirteen years and chose to move to
first grade this year. The 2009-2010 school year will be my 14th year!
I earned National Board Certification in 2004 and am currently working
towards a Master's degree in Elementary Education.
I enjoy playing with my two boxers, Patch and Pepper as well as cycling and
reading.
My goal is for every child to learn and have fun in a safe and caring
environment. I want them to work up to their potential and I hope to see
them develop socially, emotionally, and academically over the course of the
school year.
