About The Teacher

I am a National Board Certified teacher and have been teaching for 13 years. 
I got my degree in Animal Science from Clemson (Go TIGERS!), and then went 
to ECU to get my Education courses. My first career was managing hog farms 
in eastern NC, but teaching is my new favorite job.
I'm currently teaching Honors and Standard Biology as well as Anatomy &  
Physiology. However, I've taught Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physical 
Science, Earth Science, and Forensic Science.

My mission for all of my classes is the same. I want to help my students 
better understand the world of science and how it impacts their lives. I 
want my class to be that place where students come in loaded with questions 
and leave with answers and the knowledge of where and how to find out more 
answers as questions arise.
