I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and
later received my master's degree in teaching English from UNCW. My
background includes not only teaching secondary English for over 13 years but
also coaching varsity girls basketball. Prior to Laney High School I taught
and coached at West Brunswick High School in Shallotte. My interests include
basketball, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, reading, traveling, and
remodeling.
