Parents,
Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year. I am excited to be working another
year with this wonderful staff at Laney. This will be my tenth year in
education New Hanover county area. I will be your child’s case manager this
year, responsible for monitoring and updating his/ her Individual Education
Plan (IEP). Throughout the year you will receive phone calls and letters
providing updates on your child’s academic progress and behavior, and
invitations to meetings concerning their educational needs. You may be asked
to attend a meeting, provide essential information to teachers, assist
teachers by communicating with your child, or you may be pleasantly surprised
with a positive report. Whatever the need may be, it is critical that we work
as a team to provide the support necessary for your child to be successful in
school.
