I am a UNC Wilmington graduate with a Bachelors degree in Sociology and
North Carolina Board Certified in Secondary Social Studies Education. A
proud member of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows scholarship program, I
have experienced additional training, education, and professional
development opportunities. I did my student teaching here at Laney High
School in 2004 and started teaching at Laney in the Spring of the '05-06
school year; A PROUD LANEY BUC!!! This is my third year teaching with the
Small Learning Community. My most recent and most proud achievement has
been the birth of my daughter, Sophia Ren Sollosi.
All students are unique with various qualities and learning styles.
Everyone has something they can contribute to the success of the class as a
whole.
Together, we will cover the history of the world in one semester!!!
Although it may seem like quite a stretch, we will focus on significant
events, ideas, and movements from the beginnings of civilization to
contemporary times. We will explore within the framework of political,
economic, religious, social, and intellectual themes that have contributed
to the development of world cultures/societies.
