Parents' Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The mission of E. A. Laney High School is to prepare all students for
the future by striving for excellence in pursuit of a quality education. In
support of our mission, my aim is to create and maintain a classroom that
will challenge, engage and motivate all students. Additionally, this year
we will focus on the following school improvement goals:

a. Ensure mastery of student learning through rigorous and relevant
instructional practices, and to enhance student learning by developing
relationships with students that support learning at the highest levels.
b. Improve communication among all Laney stakeholders.
c. Maintain a safe and orderly environment.

At your earliest convenience, please send me an e-mail so I will have
your e-mail address. I check school e-mail periodically throughout the
workday, and once each evening. This gives us the option to easily
communicate using e-mail. I will send general updates to include chapter
exam dates, progress report information, mid-term and final exam dates, and
other useful information. I can also provide student specific information
on a case by case basis.

Please review your child's course syllabus, and course pacing guide.
These have been provided to your child, and can also be found on my teacher
website: http://teacherweb.com/NC/laneyhighschool/MrAntonino

My contact information is provided below:

a. School Phone Number - 350-2089 ext 345 (leave message anytime)
b. Home Phone Number - 270-2733 (between 7:00 and 9:00 PM)
c. School e-mail - pantonin@nhcs.k12.nc.us or use link that is available on

I am looking forward to working with your child, and I want to thank you
in advance for your support. If you have any questions/concerns, please
contact me. Your input and feedback are welcomed and valued! Thanks you.
