My name is Mr. Ditz and I am extremely excited to start a new school year at
Laney High School. I am originally from northwest Ohio were I attended
Willard High School. I graduated from Bluffton College in the spring of 2002
with a degree in Secondary Education Mathematics. I taught half a year in
Lima Ohio and two years in Willard Ohio. I moved to Wilmington in July of
2004 and have loved every minute. I am currently coaching football at Laney
High School and have enjoyed meeting many of my up and coming students. I am
glad to be here at Laney High School and I know that this is going to be a
great and successful semester with your help.
Tech Math
In this course, students will continue the study of algebra and geometry,
building upon middle school and Algebra 1 topics. Problem solving,
measurement, special relationships in right triangles, transformations, and
geometric applications of algebra are the topic to be studied in an
application-centered environment. Appropriate technology, from manipulatives
to calculators and applications software, should be used regularly for
instruction and assessment
