This is my third year here at Laney High School. I briefly taught at New
Hanover
High School after completing my teaching internship at Hoggard High School.
I graduated from UNCW and will soon return to obtain my Masters Degree in
English. I am very
stoked to be a teacher and to have the opportunity to work with high school
students.
I have two young sons and a pet laptop computer. We enjoy unusual books,
traveling, all forms of
comedy, and frequent trips to the beach.
If anyone wants to ever give me a present, I must say that I love hot
sauce.
And garlic.
Group interaction, kinesthetic experiences, peer feedback, and occasional
laughs during the semester will be entwined with globally relevant
materials/assignments/projects. My
promise to everyone assigned to my classes is that I will attempt to make
each class experience
interesting, interactive, yet relevant to students in an ever-changing,
diverse world culture. We will be
working very hard to become effective students of the 21st Century!
