My name is Gwendolyn McLean and I am the counselor here at Leesville Road
Elementary. My role as the school counselor focuses on students'
academic, emotional, personal and social development. In doing that, it is
my goal to assure that they have the best educational experience as possible.
I obtained a Master's degree in School Counseling from North
Carolina Central University. My graduate program is accredited by the
American Counseling Association's Council for the accredidation of Counseling
and Related Educational Programs. (CACREP) I am a certified school counselor
by the State of North Carolina.
I joined Wake Co Public Schools as a School Counselor in 2003. I just
recently got married, November 2008, to a wonderful guy named Gary.
(I'm still glowing:-) In my spare time I enjoy working with
my sorority(Delta Sigma Theta), church activities, shopping, and spending
time with family and friends.
