What should I do if my child is absent?

In the case of planned absences: please notify me in advance, so I may
prepare the necessary make up work. For unexpected absences: per Wake County
policy, students are given one day for each day absent. The student is
responsible for making sure he/she brings a note from home and collects the
necessary work. Work not addressed according to policy while absent will
result in a zero.
