The kids won "Scoob," the Elf on a Shelf trophy from their Media Special (for
being such good SWIMmers). They proudly brought it back to class. T.,
pointing to the elf on top of the trophy, says, "That's a pretty troll,

"What's the magic word?" I asked, when a student asked me for help zipping

A student ran over and sat beside me on a bench at recess. "Gotta rest!" she
said, breathless. "Workin' all day and all night!"

After a moment of unruly behavior among some of our gentlemen, I turned to

A student found a tiny jacket in a cubby and there was some confusion about
who it belonged to. I finally realized Livia must have left it in
there when she visited my classroom. "That was a cute mystery!" a boy
exclaimed. 2/7/12
