LUNES:  study for your si clause quiz tomorrow // p. 294- comprehension and 
part B of Un paso mas

MARTES:  complete worksheet and poem

MIERCOLES:  4 sentences using adverbial clauses-2 in the past, 2 in the 
present and use both types // complete back of worksheet from yesterday // do 
the verb chart of the worksheet from today // If you did not do your poem 
from yesterday--- do it tonight!

JUEVES:  translate the verbs in bold from the chart // translate the verbs 
given to you on the overhead

VIERNES:  packet, sections A and D // translate the sequence chart we did in 
class- the (one form of) comer translated in all 15 tenses

LUNES:  complete por vs para..if you got below 18 on your quiz... give 
reasons why // complete the worksheet -both sides-please just write the 
sentences.. do not look up words.  This is an activity to see what you 
know // go to LINKS for Spanish 4 and do the "medio ambiente quiz"- it's a 4 
minute activity

VIERNES:  Define all the words on the Vocab list of the Environment //quiz

LUNES:  choose 4 questions from each "section" for a total of 20 // type the 
20 questions that you're going to ask your "candidate" and make sure you have 
a 3 copies:  one for you, one for me and one for your candidate

MARTES:  Prepare for your interview!  (you already have the 20 questions)//Be 
sure that you have a final copy of your resume and cover letter that will be 
turned in the day of your interview- either Thursday or Friday... be prepared 
for Thursday... we're drawing names!

JUEVES:  Have your books completed for MOnday! // review the front page of 
your verbs and/ or flashcards... we'll be having a test over the definitions 
of all of them mid- next week

EEK OF October 19:

LUNES:  Draw a picture depicting the first paragraph of the story // study 
vocabulary of story // review Adverbial clauses-red/green flashcards

MARTES:  on a sheet of paper (we're going to tear it in half) write your 
prediction of what is going to happen in the story next ---Don't read ahead! -
--and on the other half write 3 True or False statements about what we read 
last night.

MIERCOLES:  quiz tomorrow over the adverbial clauses - Siempre o A veces and 
definition // reread what we read in class today so that you and your partner 
can make a quick comic strip of what happened in class

JUEVES:  complete your cartoon if not done // Venn diagram of dentist and 
mayor

VIERNES:  summarize the entire story of Un dia de estos:  this could be done 
in a paragraph (8or 10) sentences, dividing it up and summarizing 3 parts in 
small paragraphs or by drawing pictures .... we're going to have a quiz on 
the story on Tuesday... what happened, what can you infer and give your 
opinion on.  // bring in your rough draft of your fairytale that you worked 
on in class

WEEK OF October 12:

LUNES:  6 sentences about your future goals (by the year 2020 I will have...) 
and 6 sentences using the future tense on what you're going to do to reach 
your goals (I will attend ...) //another "map" for your story

MARTES:  look up vocabulary for "un dia de estos" // use 5 of these words in 
5 different sentences using 5 different tenses

MIERCOLES:  Be sure to have all 4 parts of the map done for creating a story -
you may have extras due to doing characters // put all your verbs in the past 
tense please!-on all 4 "maps"

JUEVES:  Write the sentences at the bottom of the worksheet according to your 
fairy tale. // study for you vocabulary quiz -un dia de estos // put your 
poema cinquain on paper with illustrations

VIERNES:  Rough draft of story:  intro, setting, and beginning of 
adventure // quiz over Un dia de estos vocab on Monday

LUNES:   Choose a fairytale, outline it:  intro (characters and setting) 
body, conflict, twist, resolution // quiz tomorrow over the pret vs imperfect

MARTES:  Grammar book p. 27, act D  // telling us a humorous, sad, 
significant story about what happed to you in the past tomorrow in class 
using the pret and imp.  -no notes!  just be able to tell us!

MIERCOLES:  prepare for debate// quiz tomorrow

JUEVES:  test tomorrow over preterit, imperfect, past perfect, past 
subjunctive

VIERNES: Do one more mapping page for your story ( creative writing maps are 
online) //blue book p. 195, act. A- complete the 6 sentences using the 
subjunctive

LUNES:  no school

MARTES:  prepare for your situaciones from the book p. 25 // puzzlement of 
the imperfect subjunctive

MIERCOLES:  p.24 ACt E, read the "story", then describe the 4 areas 
indicated below, then answer the last question about predicting what happens 
next in the story

JUEVES:  Read p. 26-27 until line 40 - summarize in 2 -3 sentences what you 
understood // write 11 original sentences using the Weirdo main clauses in 
the past and past subjunctive

VIERNES:  add 5 more sentences to yesterday's homework -1 per Weirdo 
clause // then read p. 27 the rest of the story "el decimo":  divide the 
story into 3 parts and write what you uderstood from each "part" // Do T and 
F from page 28

LUNES:  8 sentence summary of your thoughts about Cuba based on the 
presentation given on Friday and your review notes we took today. // p. 3, 
act. A in your grammar book

MARTES:  On your folder, on the front copy all the preterit notes-- NEATLY!!! 
and LOGICALLY- so you can actually use it!  // and on the back, write down 
the Imperfect endings and the 3 irregular verbs and their conjugations // 
write nothing on the inside of the folder!!!!!

MIERCOLES:  p. 14, act. A in your grammar book

JUEVES:  Green book, p. 14 B and write why!!! // Blue book p. 22, B write a 
paragraph based on the questions -use pret and imp

VIERNES:  Blue book p. 22-23 act. C  Read and answer the questions. // do the 
puzzlement review of present subjunctive

LUNES:  study for you test!

MARTES:  Cuba (and the US)  Brainstorm/look up/search info about the years 
1960's and 1998 -sorry not 1996-oops!)

MIERCOLES:  On your Cuba notes, write down all the Question words // write a 
question for la Sra Mercia // Then on your notes, write an original sentence 
for all 8 clauses written in your notes

JUEVES:  Bring in your Cuba notes and questions para la Sra. Mercía. // find 
(in your book)the regular preterit endings and the Totally irregular verbs 
and their endings... write them down on a sheet of paper

VIERNES:  Do the worksheet #9- be sure to write the verb at the top next the 
English as well as finding the number and shading in the area on back

LUNES:  No school!

MARTES:  quiz tomorrow over present, present perfect y present progressive// 
translate all the "WEIRDO" main clauses

MIERCOLES:  P. 270 in your Blue book - do act  A and C (unscramble the poetic 
sentences to a more logical one.)

JUEVES:  p. 274 act. B, in your blue book- respond to the statements in 
detail -- in Spanish!!!!  

VIERNES:  Poesia "poster":  include pargraph on who you prefer and one about 
the author and how his life affected his poetry Also write your own poem 2 
stanzas -include one subjunctive and a visual
