Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! We have gotten off to a great start and the students are ready for the challenges of the second quarter. I hope you find the information on this website helpful for keeping up with the year's activities and assignments.
Volunteers: Thank you for the help and support you provide at our school and in our classroom. If you are able to
help with general classroom preparation, such as making copies, 1-on-1 tutoring, team time, or even come in and
share your expertise, then contact me through email with the date and time you can come.
Think Central: A new link has been added! Think Central provides access to our math textbook online. Check it out!
The Day You Were Born: This writing project is due on Friday, November 6. The students will have time each day
to conduct research, write, and type. Please look over the packet of information with your child to make sure they
are up-to-date with the timeline. The cover story was scheduled to be completed on Friday, October 16.
Field Trips: Information concerning our in-school science experience and the overnight fieldtrip will be sent home on
Tuesday, October 20. The information includes payment deadlines.
Science: During the 3rd quarter we will be investigating ecosystems. We are going to need a supply of 2 liter bottles in
order to develop our own ecosystems. Please send a rinsed out 2 liter bottle to school with your child by December
1.
