• Remember to draw your special auction template! It is due any time from now until Friday. Everyone has to have their special template in on Friday. Mrs. Sennati will collect the enevelope with them in it on Friday. Thanks.
• Practice your instrument.
• Otherwise NO science type homework.

December 10, 2009

• Students are to read Section 4 of the Sound unit. ( pages 662-664 "How You Hear Sound".
• Complete workbook pages 305 and 306.
• Remember your instruments for Tuesday - December 15 !

• Study for your science quiz - Section 2 - Sound !

December 7, 2009

• Please return the signed "Musical Instrument" paper. It was due today - Dec. 7.
• We reviewed what will be on Quiz #2 of the sound unit.
• Quiz #2 will be on Thursday, December 10.
• We continue to watch the DVD with David Holt demonstration unusual instruments or hand sounds.

December 2, 2009

• 6 Rusch corrected WB page 301. They are to finish WB pages 302-303.
• Quiz tomorrow - Section 1 of Chapter 18.

December 1, 2009 - Happy Advent!

• We continue our studies of music. There will be a quiz on December 3 from Section 1 of Chapter 18. Students know what they should study. There will be quizzes about the different sections. All the quizzes added together will equal a test grade.
• Homework: 6 Rusch - Workbook page 301 only. ( textbook page 656 - "Music")
• Homework: 6 Mode - Workbook page 301 -303. ( textbook page 656 - " Music" )

November 23, 2009

• Today we experimented with tuning forks, their vibrations and how the sound travels faster in water.
• In class we began Section 2 - Properties of Sound - pages 650 -655. Students answered the questions and fill in the blanks of the workbook pages 297, 298 and 299.
• Read these pages carefully.
• Finish the assignment for homework.

November 19, 2009

• We worked on Section 1 of Chapter 18. Students have to finish their workbook pages 293-295 - "The Nature of Sound". This is due tomorrow.

November 16-18, 2009

• We have begun Chapter 18 - "Sound" unit. The students had a chance to learn more about the history of one of the wind instrument family members - the kazoo. Each received one to keep and practice and play at home. Today 6 Rusch reviewed with me Section 1 of Chapter 18. My homeroom (6 Mode) learned the kazoo.
