Homework Homework is an important required component for middle school Spanish. I review homework to evaluate overall comprehension of the topics covered in class. My experience has shown that students who put forth the effort to complete their assignments will do better on tests / quizzes. Homework is also a way for students to relearn and review the material covered in class as well as prepare them for test / quizzes. Hence, homework accounts for 25% of a student's overall grade. Homework must be completed in its entirety and be submitted on time in order to receive full credit (100). Penalties will be assessed for incomplete or late assignments receiving a grade of 50. Once a unit of study is completed, late homework relevant to that unit will not be accepted and result in a zero grade. Please follow these additional homework guidelines:
Make-up Assignments When not in class, students are responsible for getting missed assignments and completing work in a timely manner. Because I am a mobile teacher going from class to class, students are responsible for coming to my office (Lower School building, 3rd floor, Room 206) to obtain the necessary handouts / worksheets after dismissal until 3:30 pm.. 01/04/10 - Study for midterm scheduled for Thursday, 01/07. 12/10/09 - Study for retake of quiz verb conjugation for -ar verbs. 12/07/09 - Study conjugation and meaning of verb "necesitar" for quiz on Thursday. 12/03/09 - Create a study guide using vocabulary from the first two pages of chapter 2A. This is due on Monday, 12/7. 12/01/09 - Reminder: Project is due on Dec. 15th for 7-H. 11/30/09 - Study for test tomorrow. 11/23/09 - Test for chapter 1B is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1st. Complete workbook p. 29-30. 11/19/09 - Complete textbook p. 74 act. 26 and 27. Diamond poem project assigned today. This is worth a test grade and is due on Dec. 11th. 11/17/09 - Complete workbook p. 27-28. 11/16/09 - Complete textbook p. 70 act. 20 and p. 71 act 21. 11/12/09 - Beging to study p.55-70 (vocabulary,adjectives and their number/gender agreement with nouns, definite and indefinite articles). Quiz on Monday, Nov.16th. 11/05/09 - Complete workbook p. 25-26.
