Pre-K Weekly NewsPreK at OLG Miss Cupito and Mrs. Trees 11/2/2009
The inagural OLG PreK Halloween celebration was a day to remember. We started off the day with a parade around the First Grade and Kindergarten classrooms and showed off our great costumes. Next, we had our PreK Halloween party which was lots of fun. Thanks to all of the parents involved in making our party a success. Our PreK week was filled with many Halloween activites. We learned 5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate, we learned motions to "Witch's Brew" by Hap Palmer, and read many books about Halloween (class favorites): Humbug Witch and I'm Not Afraid of This Haunted House. We learned how to write capital and lower case H's and what sound H makes. We learned that Hudson's name starts with an H and we are all looking forward to having him back at school this week! This week we are going to start to learn about England. Our PreK class is taking part in a Christmas Around the World event and our country is Britain. If you have any connection to Britain, please let me know! We will also be learning about Saints, our families, and the letter I. We will have a special visit with Father James on Thursday!
