We are working on getting everything finished in a timely manner.

Things that were not finished this week are being sent home in the homework folder of "The Notebook."

Remember to turn in your Spelling PACT every Friday.

Remember to return your Thursday envelope emptied and signed.

Remember to return your Friday folder with all the items that need to be signed and returned. All tests and the behavior report or progress report should be signed and returned.

The Week of November 2 - 6

Tuesday, November 3 is a free dress down day for November birthdays.

Thursday, November 5 is an early dismissal day for Parent/Teacher conferences.

There will no school on Friday, November 6 because of Parent/Teacher conferences.

There will no school on Monday or Tuesday, November 9 - 10 because of a Professional Development program that all teachers in both the Diocese of Charlotte and the Diocese of Raleigh will be participating in.

We have finished our Theme Two - Nature Walk - in our reader. We will be having a "Book Club" session this week. We break up into three groups that will read and discuss three different books. We then listen to each other when they tell about their book. We all get to read the other books in the next week because we all have done a great job talking about our books!

This week we will be working on the vocabulary words that come from the three stories that we have read in our Theme Two. This is not a spelling test! We will be working on the vocabulary words and their meaning. The children will be asked to match the word to the meaning on Thursday.

Watch for the vocabulary words and meanings to come home on Monday.
