Ocean vs. Sea
I’m going to compare beaches in different parts of the world. The first beach is located in Greece. The other beach is in North Carolina. One is an ocean, one is a sea. There are lots of things alike, but more things that are different.
An ocean is larger than a sea. An ocean covers ¾ of the land, a sea is smaller.
One difference is the water. The water in Greece is clear and blue, here it is murky and green.
There you can snorkle because you can see. Once I found a big sand dollar, but I lost it. Another time I saw a big fish, I wanted to catch it with my net, but it got away.
Another difference is the waves. Here the waves are big. In Greece there are small. Here you can go body surfing, which I love to do, but I always miss the waves.
Another thing that’s different is the food. Here you bring your own food to the beach. In Greece they serve it to you on the beach. I love to get frozen lemonade here. I love to get souvlaki and french fries there and eat them on the beach.
Last is the wind. At the beaches in Greece there is little wind, here there is a lot of wind. The sand here gets in your eyes and in your bathing suit.. You can make sandcastles here. In Greece the beaches are rocky with little sand. You mostly swim.
So I guess I love both beaches, but there is a lot of differences. I know that’s what makes them unique. I wish I were at either beach right now.

My Summer In Maine
It was 1600 miles from North Carolina to Maine
That’s 15 hours of Mario Kart and other video games
When I got there, my legs felt like jello
And when they saw me, they all said, “what a BIG fellow”
My summer has started and it was so much fun
Karate, the zoo, new friends and the sun
It was a summer I’ll never forget, one of the best I’ve ever had
I can’t wait to go back to Maine again, but this time with mom and dad.
